Description:

Novo-Volkovsky Bridge is located in St. Petersburg on the Avenue of Glory in the Frunze district, passes through the eponymous channel - part of the Volkovka River. Its length is 16 meters and width is 32 meters. The construction of the Novo-Volkovsky bridge is reinforced concrete in three spans, a railway overpass is nearby. The bridge was built in 1960, the fence is metal with a simple pattern. Major repairs to this road and pedestrian bridge are expected, but a date and timeline have not been set. The bridge received its name only in 1990 by decree of the toponymic commission of St. Petersburg. Architects and engineers developed the plan of the bridge especially carefully, trying to leave the individuality and originality of the design without depriving it of functionality. From the banks of the river there is a wonderful view of the unique buildings of the Northern capital.
