Description:

The monument was created in 1994 and is a figure of a bird on a pedestal height of only 11 cm. The idea, which came during the Festival of Satire and Humor, belongs to the writer A. Bitov.

Initially, Chizhik-Pizhiks were called students of the Imperial School of Law for the color of the form, which resembled the plumage of chicks, and wearing puzhik hats. About them there was a funny song "Chizhik-Pyzhik, where you were."

The monument is bronze and was stolen several times. Sometimes it was found when it could not be found, cast a new one. Now without part of the embankment to steal it will not work. Despite this, Chizhik-Pyzhik brings happiness to those who believe in the signs associated with it.

You can get by metro to the station "Gostiny Dvor", then on foot along Nevsky Prospekt to Fontanka, on Fontanka to Moika. The monument is located by the bridge.
