Monument to N.V. Gogol on Small Stable Street
ooh Small Stables, St. Petersburg, Russia
Description:
The monument to the great Russian writer N.V. Gogol was decided to install in the center of St. Petersburg in 1996. And since then it has been one of the most recognizable symbols of Small Stable Street.
Surrounded by cast lanterns, on a wide pedestrian part of the street on a granite pedestal stands a mysterious mystic author cast in bronze, 3.5 meters high. He wears a long coat, and it seems as if Nikolai Vasilyevich froze, strolling around the city, and heard a barely discernible whisper of an inner voice, giving an idea for a new story.
You can reach the sights on foot from the nearest metro stations: Admiralty or Gostiny Dvor.
