The Magic Owl Monument

Famous in St. Petersburg monument "Magic owl" is located near the pavilion "Birds", which is located in Alexander Park.

It is interesting that the owl was invented and made by ordinary students – Yulia Pisklova and Elena Kotelnikova. The monument itself is represented by an owl cast in bronze. She's got a note in her paws. Of course, the latter caused the emergence of beliefs and superstitions among the young people of the city. So, traditionally, before important exams, students come to the owl and touch this book, believing that it will bring them good luck and a good grade. Students believe that the wisdom of the bird is transmitted through touch.
