Alexandria, 7, St. Petersburg, Russia

Description:

Roman fountains are a very popular attraction of the city of St. Petersburg. They are located in a prominent place in Peterhof, decorating it. The fountains are 2 identical structures. The first mention of them occurred in the distant 1739. But then they were made of wood, so it was decided to build them again. Their construction took 17 years, from 1763 to 1780. These fountains are not for nothing called Roman. The thing is that their appearance was completely copied from the view of the same fountains in Rome.
