Sculpture "Holy Apostle Peter"
prosp. Kronverksky, 27, St. Petersburg, Russia
Description:
Sculpture "St. Apostle Peter" St. Petersburg.
St. Peter was one of the apostles of Jesus Christ. He was considered the patron saint of Emperor Peter I, and it was in his honor that the new capital was named. Until 2017, the apostle had the keys to the kingdom of heaven in his hand, but people who did not have a good mind tore him off with a few fingers. The sculpture was made by Mikhail Dronov in 2008. He left a distinctive feature that distinguishes the Apostle Peter from the Apostle Paul. Peter has a stone under his foot, and in ancient Greek Peter is translated as “stone”.
Now the sculpture is located in the Alexander Park, and you can get to it by metro, leaving at the stop “Gorkovskaya”.
