Metro station "Alexander Nevsky Square-1"

alexander Nevsky Square, St. Petersburg

Description:

The metro station "Alexander Nevsky Square-1" was opened in November 1967 on the square of the same name.

This station is built on a closed type at a depth of 54 meters. The walls of the station hall are tilted inward, which gives it some originality. The walls of the apron hall are decorated with white marble, and light panels stand above the doorways. The lamps on the lamps are metal.

In the end wall of the hall there is a copper art composition dedicated to Alexander Nevsky. The composition depicts an ancient Russian princely squad, which saddled 4 horses (although there are 5 riders).

The ground lobby of the station is built in the building of the hotel "Moscow", which is located next to the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
