In the 1950s and 1960s, it was partially covered, resulting in a length of 7.1 km in our time. There are 11 crossings across the river, including the Coal Bridge. The bridge was officially named after its location near the Coal Harbour, and in 2008 the Government adopted a resolution on the names of bridges No. 1023. The bridge was built to divert heavy-duty transport in the Port area, it was planned to build the Western High-Speed Diameter. In 2008, the bridge was opened for transportation.
