State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova in the Fountain House

St. Petersburg, Liteiny Prospect, 53

About the company:

The Anna Akhmatova Literary and Memorial Museum opened in 1989, on the centenary of Anna Akhmatova’s birth, and was the first museum dedicated to those representatives of the Akhmatov generation who tried to preserve their world, their identity in the conditions of a totalitarian state. The new exposition decision of 2003 divides the museum space into two parts: a memorial, returning the Punin-Akhmatova apartment look of the 1920s - 1940s, and a literary and historical, subordinated to a different exposition logic - "I remember everything at the same time..." (Akhmatova).
