Museum of D. I. Mendeleev Archive

The office is located in the room of the apartment of D. I. Mendeleev, in which he was located during the life of the scientist. Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev moved from the university apartment in 1890, and there is little information about the situation of his office in the period 1866-1890, so the museum had to restore the atmosphere of D. I. Mendeleev’s home office at the Main Chamber of Weights and Measures. At the same time, photographs of the office made by an employee of D. I. Mendeleev F. I. Blumbach in 1903 were used. Thus, entering the office, a visitor to the museum can form a fairly clear idea of the environment in which the great scientist worked.
