About the company:

The Meteorological Museum of the Main Geophysical Observatory (6 Belinsky Street) was opened in 1944 after returning from the evacuation of the GGO, including the collections of the Geophysical Museum, which served as the basis for the creation of the M. M. In the early years, it was on a voluntary basis. The unique collections of instruments collected in M.M. dating back to the founding of the GGO by A. Y. Kupfer (1849) are of great historical and scientific value.
