198005, St. Petersburg, Fontanka River Embankment, 118

About the company:

The exposition of the museum is deployed in sixteen interior halls, where furniture, objects of decorative and applied art, painting, graphics of the late XVIII - early XIX century, books and manuscripts of writers of that era are presented. The effect of the “presence” of the owner of the house is created by the portraits of Derzhavin included in the exhibition by S. Tonchi, V. Borovikovsky, A. Vasilevsky. The dining room of the second floor is decorated with the ceremonial portrait of D. A. Derzhavina, written by V. L. Borovikovsky in 1813, on which the widowed poet married in 1795 and who “by her careful look at the house” and estates managed to double the well-being of her husband.
