190121, St. Petersburg, Dekabristov Street, 57
About the company:
The museum-apartment of A. Blok consists of two parts: a memorial apartment created on unique authentic furnishings and decoration belonging to the poet, and a literary exposition telling about his life and work.
The museum is open in the house where A. Blok lived for 9 years - from July 1912 to August 1921. After the poet's death, his archive, library and collection of personal belongings were preserved by his wife, L.D. Block. After her death in 1939, they were transferred to the Institute of Russian Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Pushkin House), where they were partially exhibited in the 1960-1970s. In 1980, in the house where A. Blok lived and died, the museum-apartment of Alexander Blok was opened - a branch of the State Museum of History of Leningrad - the first museum of culture of the Silver Age in our city.
