Museum of Railway Engineering

The museum complex is located on the territory of almost 60 thousand square meters. Two buildings – the building of the old locomotive depot and the spectacular modern building – are united by a glass gallery with a suspension bridge into a single space.

The tour routes pass through a collection of rare and legendary locomotives, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, wagons and other railway equipment. Historical artifacts coexist with existing models, interactive installations and rooms for temporary exhibitions, forming an unusual and fascinating museum space.

The new museum is a great platform for modern educational programs, children's events, lectures and shows of thematic films.

We hope that our museum will become the place where adults and children will get acquainted with the history of railways and rail transport, learn a lot about modern and outdated technologies and railway professions. At the same time, we hope that the museum will become a favorite leisure place for the whole family.

The Museum of Railways of Russia is a structural unit of the October Railway – a branch of Russian Railways.
