The St. Petersburg Cinema Museum is a public institution that introduces cinema of various genres, its history and development both in Russia and abroad. It is located in a building in which one of the first and best cinemas in Petrograd, Splendid Palace, opened. The Cinema Museum is rather a virtual platform where thematic film screenings serve as exhibits. The museum regularly hosts meetings of film masters with viewers, thematic lectures, etc.
