We are divided into 2 teams, each of the teams passes with its guide. Lunch. A game tour of the Summer Garden. The Soul of St. Petersburg – Summer Garden invites you to get acquainted with its legends through a quest based on ancient letters and maps. We'll split into 2 teams. We overhear the conversations of Diana and Apollo, learn the secrets of Amur and Psyche, “build” an ancient water duct, remember the fables of grandfather Krylov, find his characters on the pedestal of the monument, find the oldest oak on the island, look into the pavilion of archaeological finds and learn what “tree preservation” is. Also, children can meet a historical character and discover the secrets of good manners. |
| Day 3 | Breakfast. Country tour of the royal residences, depending on the season: Summer: The Unique Peterhof Petrodvorets is a world-famous palace and park ensemble for its fountains. The idea of creating a country royal residence, which would not be inferior to Versailles in France, arose with Peter I in 1714. The general concept of planning parks and palaces of Peterhof belongs to the emperor. The pace of construction of the country residence of Peter the Great was striking: already in 1723, the grand opening of Peterhof took place. By the opening, the layout of the Lower Park was created, the Sea Canal was dug, the palaces of Monplaisir and Marly were built, part of the fountains operated. The seaside residence of Emperor Peter delighted Europe no less than the new capital, St. Petersburg. It is not by chance that Peter chose this area for the construction of fountains: several reservoirs were found here, fed by springs from the ground. These are the sources used for fountains today. During the summer of 1721, locks and a canal were built, through which water from the reservoirs from the Ropshinsky heights flowed by gravity to the accumulative pools of the Upper Garden, small fountains were arranged here. Another thing is the Lower Park, stretched at the foot of the terrace. Water from a 16-meter height through pipes from the basins of the Upper Garden on the principle of communicating vessels with force rushes down to soar with many high jets in the fountains of the Lower Park of Peterhof. The rest of the year: The Royal Village The State Museum-Reserve "Tsarskoye Selo" is a monument of world architecture and landscape art of the XVIII - early XX century. A whole series of reigns, starting with Catherine I and ending with Nicholas II, left its imprint in Tsarskoe Selo, traces of its existence. The compositional center of the monument is the Catherine Palace - a magnificent structure in the style of Russian Baroque: admire the luxury of decoration of the Grand Hall of the Palace and the "Golden Enfillade" of the state halls, among which is the world-famous reviving Amber Room.
