The Hermitage continues to work in conditions of intellectual isolation. While the reception of visitors is suspended, the staff of the museum use this opportunity to prepare it for the return of the public and even better take care of the state of the exhibits and halls of the Hermitage.
An important part of the daily work of the Hermitage team was the live broadcasts of Hermitage Online.
Since the beginning of restrictions related to measures to overcome the spread of the coronavirus, the museum has already conducted 19 online excursions to the museum’s accounts on Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki and YouTube, and dozens on Instagram. The broadcast has already gained more than 4.5 million views.
One of the most important in the series of live broadcasts was a tour in Italian through the state halls of the Winter Palace, to which the museum wanted to express its support to the people of Italy who are now going through difficult times, we want to show solidarity with our friends in Italy and all Italians who, like us, are now fighting the epidemic.
