Pushkin Park

ooh Moskovsky, 18, Saransk, Republic of Mordovia, Russia

Description:

The city park of recreation and culture was founded in Saransk in 1864 as a city garden. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of A. S. Pushkin, in 1899 he was called "Pushkin". In the same year, a bust of the great poet was installed on its territory, approved by Emperor Nicholas II and made at the expense of the Chairman of the Zemstvo Council V. K. Lilienfeld. Among the local attractions are the Assumption Church, built in 1993, the city zoo, founded in 2000, as well as a calendar made of plants, which is updated daily, and a portrait of A. S. Pushkin, also composed of small green plants.

Pushkin Park or Pushkin Park, as it is called by locals, is a favorite place for family holidays. There is everything to perfectly spend your leisure - attractions for children and adults, small artificially created ponds, concert and dance grounds, children's playgrounds, cafes and restaurants. Also, the park hosts various cultural events, such as City Day and winter wires.
