Park of Culture and Rest of Lenin District

In Saratov there is a wonderful park of culture and recreation of Leninsky district. Locals call it Ogarevsky, in connection with the Ogarev street passing nearby. The park opened for visitors in 1978.

The peculiarity of the park is its location - it is located in a forest belt, away from the noise of city roads and bustle. The park is a link between three urban areas: South-West, Svetotechstroy and Center.

A quiet, calm area for rest always attracts vacationers. In summer, you can hide from the scorching sun in the shade of branching trees, you can refresh yourself in the cool water of small ponds and lakes. Earlier, a huge Ferris wheel was installed in the park, which opened a panorama of the whole city, but due to dilapidation, it had to be dismantled.

Especially interesting in the park in the snowy, winter season. From the very morning, the park is crowded with those who want to ski, and the infectious laughter of children, sledging, will not leave anyone indifferent. The park has a wide variety of slides: from difficult slopes to more gentle ones.

On the territory of the park zone there are several ski bases, which rent the necessary equipment for a symbolic price.

Ogarevsky Park, spread over 150 hectares of forest belts, is an ideal place to relax both in summer and in winter.
