Victory Park in Saransk
Description:
The history of the Victory Square is very interesting. It was founded thanks to voluntary contributions of employees of the plant "Centrolit", which faithfully worked about 115 participants of the Great Patriotic War.
During the year, the amount of 10 thousand rubles was collected, which were spent on laying the square. The grand opening of the Victory Square took place in 1972. The square was founded in memory of the fallen soldiers who, fighting for their homeland, did not return home. The area of the square is very clean, well-groomed. Basically, linden and birch trees predominate, especially beautiful here in the spring, when fragrant lindens bloom and “earrings” birch trees are dressed. Veterans of war and labor participated in the planting of young trees. In the garden there are benches where you can sit down and enjoy the silence.
In the Victory Park there is a monument to the great poet A.I. Polezhaev.
