Monument "Forever with Russia"

Russia, Republic of Mordovia, Saransk, Alley of Friendship.

Description:

In modern Saransk, it is almost impossible to find a street or a square without monuments. And so, on the 500th anniversary of the entry of the Mordovian people into the Russian Federation, on a voluntary basis, in 1986 a monument “Forever with Russia” was erected.

The development of the project of the monument was entrusted to the architect I.A. Pokrovsky and the sculptor I.D. Brodsky. The sculpture is presented in the form of two women dressed in Mordovian national costumes and carrying a spike of wheat in their hands. Here the spike is a symbol of the gifts of the earth, reminding people that they are all residents of the same land and are brothers and sisters.

The material for the manufacture of female sculptures was chosen bronze. The figures are installed on a high granite pedestal (the height of the monument reaches 20 meters). On the pedestal there is a sign with the inscription “Forever with Russia”.

In 2012, a beautiful fountain complex was erected next to the monument. Now this place is not only a monument commemorating an important event of unity, but also a place where citizens love to spend time.
