Description:

The construction of the chapel church began in 1903. The author of the project was P.M. Zybin. It took him three years to work. The temple appeared before the citizens in the classical style with small domes onion. After the completion of construction for the temple special order from Macedonia sent the icon of the Mother of God "In sorrows and sorrows consolation." In honor of her, the church called "Satisfy my sorrows."

During the USSR, the building of the temple remained unchanged. Only, the Bolsheviks asked to remove the crosses from the domes, and then completely gave the building to the Saratov planetarium. Only in the middle of the XX century, Vladyka Pimen begged the government to return what was due to the church and make repairs. The Executive Committee refused to reinstate at its own expense, as it was not written in the decree. But the head for personal reasons gave Pimen money. A little later the temple again stood with crosses.

Today "Satisfy my sorrows" is considered the main attraction of Saratov. She's beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside. Anyone can enter the temple and light a candle. In addition, the church operates Sunday school, pilgrimage service, Orthodox youth society.
