Museum-estate of Borisov-Musatov
Saratov region, Saratov, str. Volskaya, 33
About the company:
The Borisov-Musatov Estate Museum was opened on April 14, 2000. At first, the museum’s collection contained paintings and graphic sketches by V.E. Borisov-Musatov. In terms of the number of works of art, this collection ranks third after the Moscow Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
Now it is one of the most cozy museums of Saratov. The building is a modest, small wooden wing, which miraculously survived the storms of the XX century and since 2000 has become one of the centers of Saratov culture. Here, almost unchanged, the artist’s workshop has been preserved, where his most famous paintings were created – “Tapebelin”, “May Flowers”, “Harmony”, “Emerald Necklace” and others.
