Saratov Art Museum named after A.N. Radishchev

Art Museum named after A.N. Radishchev in Saratov is one of the most significant museums in the province of our country. Opened in 1885, it became the first publicly accessible art museum in the Russian province. The exposition is mainly represented by the gifts of the artist A.P. Bogolyubov, who was the grandson of A.N. Radishchev.

The construction of the museum for Alexei Bogolyubov was the work of his whole life, which required quite a lot of effort and money. The museum has a library, which houses a rich collection of modern and ancient publications, the beginning of which was founded by A. P. Bogolyubov.

In the Great Hall of the Museum, musical concerts, literary and artistic evenings are held. The museum lecture hall gives lectures on the history of world fine art, various styles and trends in painting, sculpture and architecture, culture of perception of artistic works.
