Monument to the Liberator Warrior
Russia, Moscow Region, Serpukhov
Description:
In the city of Serpukhov in the Moscow region stands the "Soldier-liberator". It was first located on the 1st Moscow street, but after reconstruction in 2009 was moved to the "Cathedral mountain" - a memorial complex in the city. This is a very small monument, but it is famous for the fact that it completely repeats the figure of a warrior from Treptow Park in Berlin. This monument was a preliminary model that sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich created while working on a grandiose monument to a Soviet soldier in Berlin.
In 1964, the monument was brought from Germany and installed in Serpukhov. The monument has a height of 2.5 meters.
