Description:
The consecration of the place for the construction of the future temple took place on July 12, 2002, and its solemn laying was made on June 14, 2004. The temple was built according to the project of architect Elena Fedorovna Shapovalova.
Design and construction took 11 years. Slowly the foundation was laid, the walls were erected, in 2006, 2007 construction work was not carried out at all, and only in 2009 the construction was completed.
For a long time the construction of the temple, many people in various capacities were able to participate in the construction, to contribute to its creation. This makes it possible to call the temple truly popular.
The first Divine service in the church took place on July 12, 2009, and its solemn consecration was performed on October 11, 2009 by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia (Gundyaev) in the presence of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.
The new temple was built in memory of Russian submariners. One of the reasons for this initiation is that in Lake Razliv in 1724-1727, the “hidden vessel” Efim Nikonov was tested.
