Municipal Local History Museum of Severouralsk

Open to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Lenin - April 22, 1970, on a voluntary basis. In 1991 it received state status. The museum has three departments. The most popular is the nature department with dioramas showing a peculiar flora and fauna of the tundra, taiga, lakes and swamps. In the other two halls is the pre-revolutionary and socialist history of the development of the city. The fund consists of the following collections: 1. natural science 2. written sources 3. archaeological 4. ethnographic 5. numismatic 6. applied art 7. painting and graphics of local artists.
