Seversk Museum

On December 24, 1987, by the resolution of the Committee of the CPSU and the Executive Committee of the City Council of People's Deputies of Tomsk-7 under the number B-42/19, the Exhibition Hall-Museum of Tomsk-7 was founded, which since February 1997 was renamed into the municipal institution "Museum of Seversk"

The main task assigned to the museum staff was to study the history of the city-forming enterprise - the Siberian Chemical Plant and its residential zone - Seversk.

Over more than 20 years of history, the museum has undergone major changes, gradually developing from the narrow framework of the exhibition hall into a research institution.

More than 32,000 people visit the museum every year. Today, in addition to excursion developments, 17 museum general education programs have been created in the museum, including 100 lecture topics, 10 field trips and 10 museum holidays, about 100 master classes are held.

The chronological range of the collection from XVIII thousand BC to the present day. At the moment, the collection of the museum contains about 120 thousand genuine art monuments and photographs on the history of the territories on which the city is located. At present, in the museum collections exhibits are combined into museum collections: archaeological and ethnographic, a collection of clothing and written sources, decorative and applied art, a valuable collection of orders and medals, coins, banknotes, badges - this is not a complete list of materials to which historians, workers of educational and cultural institutions, history lovers can turn.
