Sharypovsky Historical and Local Lore Museum
About the company:
In 1986, the first museum was opened in the city, then called Chernenko. The first expositions of the museum told about the development of the Kansko-Achinsk fuel and energy complex and the life of the famous native of the Sharypovsky district - General Secretary of the CPSU Konstantin Ustinovich.
However, in 1994 the museum was included in the state network of museums with a historical and local history profile, and nowadays the museum collections are formed mainly in the areas of geology, paleontology, archaeology, ethnography, as well as periods of revolution, civil war, collectivism, the Great Patriotic War.
The pride of the Sharypov Museum is an archaeological collection of 30,000 items confirming the conclusions of scientists about the Sharypov land as the intersection of busy migration routes at all times. There are about 400 archaeological sites in the area, the entire retinue of historical periods and cultures, from the Upper Paleolithic to the late Middle Ages.
Museum exhibitions representing the works of professional artists, local masters of decorative and applied arts, children's creativity are very successful among visitors.
The Sharypov Museum has participated in the International Museum Biennale held in Krasnoyarsk three times and has one winner’s diploma. Thanks to the efforts of the museum staff, their brainchild turned from a small provincial museum into a large Sharypovsky regional museum, exhibition and excursion complex.
