Sibai Historical and Local Lore Museum

Each village has its own history. To summarize and show the past of the region, a museum is necessary. Our mining town is relatively young, but its history is very rich.
The museum was created in one of the offices of the Komsomol City Committee. Its active initiators were local historian Fedor Vasilyevich Papkov, Komsomol worker Zoya Vasilyevna Smirnova, boarding school teacher Sharif Vafovich Sharipov, Magdan Fayzullovich Muzipov and his wife Asiya Gufranovna Muzipova (Sadykova) and others. Then he was preserved in a boarding school.
On March 18, 1969, the grand opening of the city historical and local history museum took place. It is located in the building of the UCP (training and consulting post of the Magnitogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute) since that time began to pay for the work of the head of the museum.
In 1995, the local history museum moved to a new building along Gornyakov Avenue, 45.
In 1996, the museum of the city-forming enterprise - Bashkir Copper and Sulfur Combine was merged with the city museum. So there was another hall telling how the Sibay mine turned into a large enterprise.
The director of the museum was appointed Vladimir Alexandrovich Silaev. He took up work while he was retired and turned the museum into one of the city’s most important cultural centers. At that time, the museum had 1,200 units of the main fund, there was also an auxiliary fund. Designers of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan under the leadership of Anatoly Melentiev were invited to design the museum.
The idea of creating a museum belongs to the head of the Administration, at that time, Yarmoukhametov Zinnur Gubaidulovich. He made a great contribution to the creation and development of the city museum.
Since March 2000, Saitkulova Ramzia Yamilevna worked as the director of the museum. Thanks to her, the exhibition activity of the museum received a new impetus for development. Under her, expositions in the Hall of Battle Glory were reconstructed and exhibition and lecture halls were opened.
Currently, the director of the museum is Abdulgafarov Rafkat Yanuzakovych and the Sibaysky Local History Museum is a very important and significant cultural center in the city and a major center of cultural and educational work in the Trans-Urals.
The museum consists of 5 rooms:
A dioramic hall showing stuffed birds and animals living in our region.
- Hall of Archaeology and Ethnography;
- pre-war club;
- Battle Hall of Fame;
- Hall of the Bashkir Copper and Sulfur Combine;
