Slates Historical and Local Lore Museum

The main exposition is devoted to the creation and development of shale mining and shale processing industry of the region, the history of the city of Slates. Very popular among visitors is the section of the exposition "Fauna of the region", which presents about 40 stuffed animals and birds made by a resident of the city L.N. Mandyka. The museum has an exhibition hall (area - 200 square meters), which has already held more than 150 exhibitions. The tradition has been holding exhibitions of folk art. The museum is a kind of center for the unification and communication of amateur artists and folk craftsmen, the organizer of meaningful leisure of slate residents.
