38 Towers. Extended sightseeing tour of Smolensk

In this tour, everything is good: 38 towers of the Smolensk fortress that you will meet or imagine (there are no others), and six and a half kilometers of the path among houses, mountains, ravines, well-groomed monuments and abandoned ruins, and the catharsis of a real immersion in the culture and, it seems, the very soul of the city. Smolensk and its more than 1150-year history will be a discovery!

What do we do?

• We will walk around the perimeter of the Smolensk fortress wall and feel small in comparison with its towers and spines.
• See 17 towers and learn their stories.

Organizational details:

The duration of the walk is from 5-6 hours. The route is 8 km long. It's a walking tour. When visiting the cathedral, it is necessary to follow the rules established by the diocese (consult with a guide), ladies will need headgear. We need comfortable, non-slippery shoes. You can take a snack, in the summer be sure to take water and headgear, so as not to bake your head. A break for lunch is possible, it is stipulated separately.

Start - from the Monument to Soldiers, Defenders and Liberators of Smolensk (Victory Square, 1). Finish is a monument to Tvardovsky and Terkin (address near B. Sovetskaya, 30/11).
