We will walk through the city where Prince Vladimir Monomakh lived. We will see the Smolensk fortress - one of the few monuments of defense architecture, built under Boris Godunov; the Assumption Cathedral is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Russia. Cathedral Hill is the residence of the princes, the place where Smolensk began. Here the foundation of the princely tower was found and from this hill overlooks the functioning church of the 12th century. You will learn about the three great wars that Smolensk experienced.

With the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Napoleon and the Great Patriotic War, we will pass through parks and squares dedicated to these wars and see unique monuments, many of which are more than 100 years old. There are many interesting and exciting things waiting for you on this tour!
