Cathedral Hill is the residence of the princes, the place where Smolensk began. Here the foundation of the princely tower was found and from this hill overlooks the functioning church of the 12th century. You will learn about the three great wars that Smolensk experienced: With the Commonwealth, Napoleon and the Great Patriotic War.
