The adoption of Christianity was a revolutionary event in the history of Ancient Russia and the Smolensk principality. The new religion came into force by the XII century, which among other things resulted in the large-scale construction of "stone" (the so-called buildings of ceramic plinth) churches, which at the beginning of the XII century in Smolensk was not less than 30.
At the moment in Smolensk there are three pre-Mongolian churches of the XII century, which we will explore during the tour, and also talk in detail about the adoption of Christianity and the path of a new religion.
