During the tour we will move from Victory Square to the center of Russian culture of the turn of the XIX - XX centuries - the former estate of M.K. Tenisheva. Where, thanks to the efforts of the hostess, a special creative atmosphere was created, which attracted and inspired the creation of masterpieces by famous artists S. Malyutin, M. Vrubel, N. Roerich, brothers Benoit, K. Korovin, V. Serov and I. Repin, sculptor P. Trubetsky, composer I. Stravinsky, and others.
Walking along the old alleys you will see the famous fabulous house "Teremok", designed by S.V. Malyutin and representing a true masterpiece of Russian architecture, an agricultural school for peasant children, as well as the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit with a unique mosaic of N.K. Roerich.
During the tour, we will get acquainted with the history of the life of one of the most outstanding women of that era - Princess M.K. Tenisheva - philanthropist, collector, enamel artist, as well as learn many other interesting facts.
Surprisingly quiet and peaceful corner is located only 14 kilometers from Smolensk.
On the shore of the ponds there is a gazebo and many benches, where you can conveniently sit for rest, if the fresh air and the impressions you get tire you or, on the contrary, excite your appetite.
