The Bridge of Love

The Bridge of Love is one of the informal attractions of Smolensk. It is located in the central park of the city. This is a small crossing through the park. The bridge is about 50 meters long. It has an arc-shaped shape, and elegant forged grilles with a bizarre ornament are used as a fence.
A wedding tradition is associated with this bridge - the newlyweds hang a castle here, which symbolizes their union, and throw the key to it into the water. It is believed that this will make the marriage stronger.
The bridge of love is also often used as a backdrop for wedding or romantic photo shoots.
