What's going on in Smolensk?
Description:
Everyone around, it seems, only likes to complain that everything is wrong in Smolensk, and everything is wrong, that there is nowhere to go, nothing is happening and you need to leave.
This is not the case, for example, last weekend:
Just the other day we have completed our own film festival of actors-directors “Golden Phoenix”
- At the weekend, it was in Smolensk that the ceremony of awarding the All-Russian Prize “Keepers of Heritage” was held.
In honor of the birthday of the Thunder Tower, a concert was held there.
- in the center of folk art on Bakunin held a festival of bard songs
- in Smolensk Poozero held a unique cranberry tour for our region
There was a massive night bike parade.
- in Gnezdov there was a festival of reenactors autumn maneuvers
- Two musical concerts on the water were held in the Lopatinsky Garden
- a huge international (really international, not just Russia and Belarus) graffiti festival was held, which decorated the gray walls of a contemporary with bright paintings
A lot of interesting meetings took place in the creative space of the Headquarters (in particular, Masha Makarov from Smolensk-Warsaw-Moscow gave an interesting lecture on the history of the protest movement in Poland, and the guys from 7x7 told how media can positively change the situation in the regions).
The concert season has begun in the Philharmonic.
- a huge number of events is always in the design space "Wednesday", every week the film screenings of the cult author's films.
- another audio performance from Place:Smolensk
- Motocross in Red.
- Motorseason closed.
- a great performance celebrated its 20th anniversary of the historical theater "Borderside"
A traditional holiday dedicated to St. Mercury was held in Dolgomosti.
Guys, life is boiling! Here and now! And I’m sure I missed half of the event because it’s impossible to get things done, and less mentioned people who do cool things every day like AE.
But all of you, your ideas and energy are still very much needed by Smolensk It all depends on us, on our ideas, activity and self-confidence.
No one but us will do anything for us, it is necessary to realize, to love your city and yourself in it.
We need to recognize ourselves as a region, not as the periphery of Moscow.
Unfortunately, many regions recognize themselves as peripherals, not as themselves. We need to be clear. Yes, there is Moscow, but we also have a lot of interesting things, for example, in Kazan.
Moreover, to compare three hundred thousandth and a metropolis, even three hundred thousandth and a millionth is simply incorrect.
And the difference between a big city and a small one is simply the number of active and positive people who share what they do with the world around them.
We're cool, we're doing everything. Sharing more!
Well, of course, I can’t help but announce some cool new events this week, in case I haven’t seen it yet:
