The romance of the night, the spirit of creativity, fascinating stories from books and the amazing history of Smolensk are waiting for you on the first night excursion in the city, based on the work of writers-Smolians and writers who, by the will of fate, happened to visit here and feel the spirit of this amazing place.
The two-voice tour will be conducted by guides Mikhail and Olga Efimkin.
Together with them we:
Through the eyes of our contemporary Smolensk writer Oleg Ermakov we will see the city “not as it is, but as it seems”;
- with the help of the creator of detectives about Smolensk Lyudmila Gorelyk, we will find the forgotten Theosophical Society hidden in the alleys;
- get acquainted with Fyodor Kon, whose history is described in the novel of the same name of our countryman;
- learn, the mystery of the death penance of the novice of the Smolensk Trinity Monastery Ioannikia, described in the novel "Tower of Merry" of the "Smolensk old-timer" of the late XVIII - early XIX century Fedor von Oettinger;
- in a hundred years, we will make the poems of the forgotten but brilliant Smolensk poet Gervasius Psalmov sound again and learn about his fate;
- without the legendary trinity - Tvardovsky, Isakovsky Rylenkov - will not do either;
Find out how Stendhal turned out to be in Smolensk and what he saw in the city ravines;
- speculate whether the Smolensk priest Nikifor Murzakevich was right when he gave a profork to Napoleon fleeing Russia;

The tour will be interesting for both Smolensk residents and guests of the city. The walk will last 3 hours. We will finish it in the creative space "HQ", where the participants of the tour will be able to warm up with free mulled wine (without alcohol). After the tour, we will play the book “Smolensk: 500 questions and answers about your favorite city” by Yuri Ivanov from one of the best specialty stores of our city – “Book World”.
The tour will take place on Friday 20 September. Ticket price: 400 R. per person. Payment exclusively at the meeting place to the organizers. There is no prepayment. But pre-registration is mandatory by reference. If possible, bring a flashlight for a walk.
