Some interesting facts about the Smolensk tram:

- From the first day of operation, the carriages ran along two routes: "Station" - "Nikolsky Gate" and "Station" - "Governor's Prolom" (at the Gromova Tower), with a total length of about 6.4 km.
The trams were small, there were 11 of them, they could accommodate 30 people, walked in a shuttle way.
The first depot was located on the banks of the Dnieper near the fortress wall, next to the current Orthodox gymnasium in the building of the former gate Odigitrievskaya Church.
Travel in the early twentieth century cost 5 kopecks, for students - 3 kopecks, for children under 5 years - free.
There are currently 4 routes in the city.
