Winter Theatre
About the company:
The Winter Theatre is a neoclassical building with 88 columns and sculptures of ancient Greek muses on its roof. Inside - a hall for 950 seats, on the ceiling - a giant crystal chandelier and other equally expensive scenery. The Winter Theatre does not have its own permanent troupe, being the main venue for touring groups. It hosts landmark theater and film festivals (Kinotavr, KVN), concerts of popular, classical music, and jazz.
The building of the Winter Theatre was built in 1937 (architect K. N. Chernopyatov).
