From Sochi to Abkhazia. New Athos

Excursion to the holy places of Abkhazia.

It will begin with a visit to the beautiful resort town of Gagra. Stop at the most popular places.

Then we will immediately go to New Athos.

The town is small, but so rich in sights!

Visit the functioning monastery and the cell of Simon Cananita.

You will see the New Athos cave, the size of which is simply amazing. Stalactites and stalagmites, chalk stains create a fabulous atmosphere of this place.

Then you will walk through the Tsarsky Park, see a man-made waterfall and a small hydroelectric power station created by monks in the late XIX century. Climb the steps to the abandoned railway station, which is located on the site between two tunnels. Taste the local cuisine and, of course, swim in the sea.
