Stone grotto "Two Brothers"
Description:
Grotto "Two Brothers" is located in the Volkon Gorge. It's a natural monument. Water, wind and earthquakes took part in its creation. And all this under the guidance of the main "sculpture" - time. If you look closely, you can see how two large blocks resemble the foreheads of two brothers. The monument is made of sandstone.
Locals invented a legend that says that lived two brothers from a rich family: Aslan and Khajimuk. Aslan liked the beautiful girl Godlich, but her family was poor. The older brother Hajimuk was against such ties, which the younger one resisted. He said, “I would rather be a stone than give up love.” At that moment the young man turned into a stone.
Shocked by the incident, Hajimuk asked for forgiveness, but the stone did not answer him. Then the older brother could not stand it and said: “Then I must share this existence with my brother!” Godlich heard this conversation, realized that her lover had become a stone. She begged and asked the higher powers to leave her beside Aslan. So Godlich became a river flowing nearby.
To see it with your own eyes, you need to get to the village of Lazarevskoye. In 6 kilometers from the village there is a gorge.
