Monument to the defenders of passes

This is an obelisk in memory of those who during the Great Patriotic War fought on the passes of Aishho and Pseashho - soldiers of the 20th Mountain Division, who defended the Black Sea coast during the war, and helped the soldiers of local residents (they not only supplied the soldiers with food, but also were scouts and guides).

The German army set a goal to reach the Black Sea in 1942, in the summer the defenders of the passes undertook a counterattack. The Aisho and Pseashho Passes were liberated in January 1943.
