Singing fountains in Sochi

Singing fountains in Sochi on Platanova Alley were opened in 1970. They are a treasure and one of the main decorations of the city and always gather a large number of tourists and locals.

A singing fountain is a pool with a water cascade and many jets that beat with different power to music. If you watch the fountain for a long time, you can see that no color of the jet, no rhythm or movement is repeated throughout the action.

Since Soviet times, the fountain has changed. In 2009 it was closed for repairs. Closer to the 2014 Olympics, the Singing Fountain once again worked with a different force and using the latest technologies. For its functionality, a whole water engineering design was used, consisting not of several large sources, but of many small fountains.

You can see this beauty only on summer evenings. There is a Singing Fountain near the Melody store and the main embankment of the city of Sochi.
