Svir gorge

Russia, Sochi, P. Lazarevsky

Description:

Svir Gorge is part of the Sochi National Park. It is about three kilometers of the channel of the shallow, but rather turbulent river Svir, which begins in the mountains and flows among the rocks to the sea. Throughout the gorge the river forms backwaters and waterfalls.

In the backwaters, tourists love to swim, despite the rather cool water, and the waterfalls are very picturesque and are separate attractions. Also on the way there is a mysterious dolmen “Victory” and a five-meter “Moonstone”, which is attributed to mystical properties.

The path throughout is rocky, but landscaped - signs, paths, bridges.

The nature of the gorge is absolutely amazing. The cleanest air and views are literally postcard. There are specially equipped places for picnics.

You can get to the gorge yourself. From Sochi or Tuapse, you first need to get to Lazarevsky, and in Lazarevsky you need to find a stop at Cafe Minutka. You can also call a taxi.
