Magonia or magnolia?

Description:

The spring flowering season is gaining momentum. Berries are allowed to dance, competing with their magical appeal with exotic flowers.

Barbary berries or “yellow birds” of Sochi?

In the photos before you colorful magonia and rare magnolia Brooklyn yellow.
Bailey's magonia or barberry is a native of China. A member of the Barbaris family with evergreen leaves. The name of the plant comes from the American gardener of Irish origin Bernard McMahon, whose dynasty originates in the former county of Monahon, and his surname translates as "sons of the bear."
This decorative plant decorates the landscapes of Sochi everywhere. It looks delightful in the spring with yellow inflorescences, later turning into berries of blue-purple color with wax coating and with brushes of 16-17 berries.
The fruits of Biel Magony are used in confectionery production and for coloring wines. Confectioners and winemakers use the fruits of magonia as a natural dye.
Natural active substances from the bark of this plant are used in homeopathy for the treatment of skin diseases.
In addition to beauty, this shrub helps to strengthen slopes and ravines.
The baton of flowering magnolia intercepted for only a month magnolia Brooklyn or "yellow bird". The photo shows the similarity of this elegant flower with a bird.
The hybrid variety was bred in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden in 1967, but received its name only 14 years later, in 1981.
The rarest and most unusual yellow magnolias with very high frost resistance, not capricious, but wayward are the princesses of the garden. All varieties of yellow magnolias are descendants of a hybrid species of Brooklyn magnolia "Elizabeth", whose ancestors were magnolia pointed (has yellow flowers) and magnolia naked (with white flowers). Magnolia pointed, or long-pointed, cucumber, perfectly combined with lyriodendron (in Sochi, the flowers of this tulip tree will soon bloom).
I draw the attention of all creative people to these wonders of nature.
Such different and unexpected in its combination are paints for artists and masters of gardening.
