Sochi Falls

The mountainous terrain created many wonderful waterfalls for our city. The largest of them are in the area of Krasnaya Polyana. This is the famous waterfall of Polykar in the resort of Krasnaya Polyana and the Golden waterfall in the resort of Rosa Khutor. The power and strength of the waterfalls can be found until mid-summer and autumn after rains. Humidity from falling splashes creates a unique ecosystem around these waterfalls. This is the kingdom of ferns and many flowering plants of high grass. In these waterfalls, the water is cold, but even just being near them, you are saturated with the life-giving force of nature. The waterfalls of Khostinsky district, on the contrary, seem to be created to dive under their cool jets and swim in natural pools. The most famous of them are Agursky, Zmeikovsky, Orekhovsky, waterfalls Kutarka, waterfalls Svanidze and Azhek. The warmest of all are considered Zmeikovsky. And Orekhovsky never dries up. Agur Falls can dry up completely in August. The name of the river Agura translates as "dry bed" But this waterfall has the largest bowl and it is relatively easily accessible.
