Valaam Scientific Research Church-archaeological and Natural Museum-Reserve

In 1965, a natural reserve was built on the island of Valaam, and in 1979 a historical and cultural museum-reserve was created. In 1992, the state museum was liquidated, and on its basis the Museum of the Northern Ladoga Region and the Valaam Museum-Reserve LLP were created. The collection of the museum has collections of paintings, graphics, decorative and applied arts, Old Believer copper-cast plastics, a collection of materials on the history of the Valaam Spaso-Prazhensky male monastery, etc.
