Sosnovobor Art Museum of Modern Art

Sosnovoborsk Art Museum was opened on November 1, 1991. Specializes in popularizing the works of artists of the USSR, RSFSR and the Russian Federation, exhibitions change 1 time in 2-3 months.

The museum is a center of culture, communication, aesthetic education. There are lectures, meetings with artists, writers, musicians.

Funds were formed from public funds of the former USSR and the RSFSR, private collections, purchases, donations. The collection presents the works of such famous masters as O. Yakhnin, T. Yablonskaya, E. Shcherbakov, A. Kharshak, V. Vetrogonsky, R. Dominov, V. Yantarev, etc.

The main work in the field of scientific and educational activities is aimed at children. The museum implemented the project “We are children of Atomgrad”. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a community of children’s organizations in the cities of nuclear scientists in Russia and the Far Abroad. Every 2 years an exhibition of the same name is held in July.
